We have lots to offer here at the Halfway House. For beer lovers we serve an extensive range of cask ales from our owner brewery such as Manchester Pale Ale and JW Lees bitter as well as a few of our other brewery favourites such as Manchester Craft Lager and Original lager. We’re also dog friendly in selected areas of the pub, perfect for a visit with your four legged friend!
If it’s food you’re after, then look no further. Our tasty pub favourites menu is available all week, along with our unbeatable Sunday roast – complete with bottomless Yorkshire puddings and unlimited gravy. We now also serve breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays and have live entertainment on the last Saturday of the month!

There’s something new on the menu this autumn, and it’s worth popping in for. Brand new comfort food dishes have joined the line-up, each one a proper plateful.
Fancy something a bit special? Try our Grilled fillet of seabass & garlic prawns, with sautéed potatoes, buttered greens and parsley cream. Or go cosy with our Slow braised minted lamb Henry, all bubble & squeak, honey glazed root veg and gravy. Looking for something lighter? Our Nourish bowl has you covered, packed with rice, edamame beans, broccoli, avocado and pink pickled onions in a honey & soy dressing, with grilled chicken or griddled halloumi if you fancy.
And of course, great value never goes out of fashion. Our Cosy menu is back too, two courses for 16.95 or three for 19.95, served Monday to Friday from 2pm. And our Pub Lunch menu is served Monday to Friday, 12 noon to 5pm, for something lighter in the middle of the day.

Pub Lunch
Lunchtimes are always better at the pub. Tuck into with 2 mains for only £21.95 with our Pub Lunch menu, served Monday to Friday, 12 – 5 pm. What do you fancy this week? Chicken New Yorker? Honey baked ham & fried eggs? Perhaps a Chicken Caesar salad? We’ve got something for everyone. Whether it’s a catch up with friends or a working lunch, pair it with a proper pint at the pub.
Cosy menu
Settle in with something comforting. Two or three courses, from Bubble & squeak potato cake to Wexford chicken and Sticky toffee pudding. Served Monday to Friday from 2pm.
WINE WEDNESDAY
Halfway through the week is always a good time to enjoy a special treat (plus a little extra in your glass from us). Every Wine Wednesday when you order two large glasses of wine, we’ll give you the rest of the bottle on the house. It’s a perfect way to elevate that midweek get together with great company and hot food, all in the welcoming atmosphere of our family friendly pub.

Breakfast in Chorley
Start the day the right way and tuck in with a proper cooked breakfast at Halfway House Chorley. Choose from all your favourites like a Full English, Eggs Benedict, Smashed avocado, Warm waffles or Pancakes and loads more besides. Pair it with a freshly brewed tea or coffee before cracking on with whatever you've got lined up.
Sunday lunch
Sunday is a day of roast. Our roasts come with bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings (because one Yorkie is never enough and good gravy should never run out). Nothing truly beats a proper Sunday lunch, and it’s even better without the bother of cooking and cleaning. Sit back, relax and tuck into our traditional Sunday roasts, served with all the trimmings.
